HELLO, HELLO! I hope you had more and various holidays and a good beginning of the New Year!
I have some happy news regarding the Project! I was interviewed by the Alumni magazine of one of my law schools several weeks ago. Some time in the Spring, there will be a Q&A article, featuring my discussing the Project! In case you’re wondering, it’s the U.Penn Law School’s magazine! The Project will also be appearing, in a smaller piece, in another of my schools’ magazines in the Spring, as well.
At this point, to flesh out what I discussed in Blog #3 a bit more, I envision the Project’s four main, and ongoing goals and directions as: (1) Education programs, (2) Entertainment, (3) Performance, & (4) Workshops/ Crossroads/Clearinghouse programs. To those ends, we’re in correspondence with a number of organisations, whose interests coincide with our own.
One of those is a collaboration with the Rainbow Theatre Project in Washington, D.C., for what I hope will grow into more than one mutual workshop.
Along those lines, on 22 February 2016, Rainbow is putting on part of my first (recent) play, which was produced in May 2012 at the University of Baltimore! Anyone reading this can consider this announcement, as a Casting Call. Auditions will be on 30 Jan. 2016, 5-7pm.
Call backs will be on 31 Jan., and rehearsals will begin 16 and continue on 18, 20, and 21 Feb. This will be a dramatic reading, so there will be no need to memorise lines. The cast should set aside 1pm until Curtain (6-7PM), for final run-throughs. . . A small stipend will be paid to each Actor!
That’s all for now! Hope to see more than a few of my loyal readers at Source, at 1835 14th Street, NW, Washington, D.C.!
